ROGELIO MIER, born in 1972, Mexico City. Began scuba diving as an open-water diver in 1992; certified as a PADI Dive Master in 1994; became an NACD Full Cave Diver in 1996; advanced level Tri-mix diver with TDI in 1999; Open Water Scuba Instructor and Nitrox Instructor of SDI in 2000; NACD Cavern Diving Instructor in 2002 and NACD Intro to Cave Instructor in 2004. He has guided more than 5000 open-water dives in the area of Cancun and Cozumel, more than 2000 dives in the cenotes of the Mayan Riviera and logged more than 800 cave dives mainly in the caves of the Yucatan peninsula. He speaks fluent English and Spanish.
NORBERT KAMARAS was born in 1974 in Budapest, Hungary. He has been caving since his childhood; member of the Hungarian Speleological Society (MKBT) since 1992; member of the Devon Karst Research Society since 1993; started scuba diving in 1995; certified as a cave diver in 1998; became a NAUI dive master in 1999; NAUI instructor, and ASHI medic first aid instructor in 2001. From 1999 to 2009 he has guided over 2500 dives in the cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and Hungarian.
